Oops..

Just changed my rear tyres.... used to have 245/45 17 but thought I'd go for something wider and put on 255/40 17..

Now the back end feels really unstable at speed... feels pretty unsafe.

Feels like the tyres are moving about on the rims.... if you know what I mean.. (doubt they are, but it feels weird)

Not sure of the offset of these rims, but it should be able to handle a jump from 245/45 to 255/40 no?

Not sure if it has only affected the tracking and that needs sorting out or what.

it feels like its steering from the rear... like HICAS LOL

You mean balancing as in not balanced properly when they put them on?

or tracking?

not balanced properly when you had the tyres fitted

either that or one has less/more pressure than the other, enough to make it feel like that

BIIIG difference!

it pulls everywhere, and i got no power assisted like most of you! and balancing im with, mine shake at the rear due to not being balanced properly, colins is the same!

yeah, at first I thought they hadn't put the bolts in properly! even got out to check... LOL

Then thought it was the greasy coating... left it for a couple of days, but its just not safe at speed...

used to hold the road like a bloody go kart, now it feels like its got shopping trolley wheels on Nutty
