For Sale.
My 1977 Green Land Rover series 3 88" (SWB) Petrol 2.25l Soft top with a few choice toys.
Solid chassis and reasonably straight body.

Ideal first off road toy or shopping car (avoid those door dings) Wink
More than capable off road and great fun.
Very cheap and easy to fix. Early Land Rovers are really DIY'able Smile

Comes with:
Std hard top with side windows
Currently fitted with Black soft top - by Exmoor trim
Brand new genuine Land Rover hood sticks
Weller steel rims with chunky Grabber tyres
Free wheeling front hubs (makes it rear wheel drive) Very Happy Untill the flick of a switch makes it 4x4 again
Halogen headlight upgrade
Front spot lights on A bar
Galvanised Stearing/sump guard
Folding Side steps
Rover Metro GTI seats on custom mounts
Full 4 point harnesses
Seat belt/harness bar
Center cubby (storage) box - by Exmoor trim
Custom Stereo mounting with Wiring and speakers

New exhaust
New rear shocks
Propshaft UJ replaced
New Plastic headlamp bowls fitted (steel ones rot!) Laughing

This is not fast or pretty, but looks like a Land Rover should Thumbs Up!

Requires a new battery but starts and runs well with a jump start.
Currently not Taxed or MOTed, though should pass no problems Wink

£850 with new battery and MOT
£700 as is!

Reason for sale, well I would love to keep it, but I don't have room for 3 cars and only ever used this in the Summer

appreciate its a normal question on a newer car but what do you reckon the mpg you get is? and any leaks when either roof is on?

No leaks with either roof.
Well you don't get wet in it....the door tops are removable (as you can see it the pic with the canvas on) but they don't seal against the door frame very well.
It does come with new door top frames and new plastic runners for the windows, I just haven't had time to build up the new ones Rolling Eyes

MPG I never really worked it out. I took it to Wales towing a trailer. I made it all the way there (on mostly A roads) and only filled up for the way back....and I ain't a big tank Wink
I would guess about 20-25MPG

It's better than my Scoob Laughing

i'm tempted, i've wanted a series III for a while. what rating battery does it need? i've got a few kicking around. not really sure how the lady of the house will feel about me having 3 cars but luckily it'll blend in with the bushes in the garden and she might not notice it

Sorry al
A guy had arranged earlier in the week to view it today.
He left me a deposit.

If he falls through I'll let you know.
