couldn't tell you tbh, i've done lots of other things at the same time so can't say what difference each mod has made. i don't think it makes that much difference to charge temp etc but it was just as easy to blank it off and bin the parts as it was to put the parts back on during the rebuild

taxing and insuring it again when i've got the exhaust fitted (next week) so we can go blat up some country lanes then Driving i put a passenger seat and harness in it this afternoon to take kat out round industrial estate (on trade plates obviously Wink ) and she cacked her pants after the first corner. with no weight in the back it just slides out everywhere

I'm a bit of a lurker on here and probably don't post as much as I should, especially as the atmosphere in here is so good, but I thought you might be interested in what will probably be the last pics of my car.

These are pics I took before, during and after I did a home detail using a Porter Cable on my car.

She'll be up for sale in the next few months, but i've enjoyed every minute of ownership Smile

Spec list is at the end.

The Civic was far overdue a good clean and for once the weather held out.

For those interested, I used:

Megs NXT Wash
AG Water blade and Waffle Weave Towels to dry
Megs Clay Bar and Lube
Megs #80 Speed Glaze
Collinite 915 "Marque D'Elegance" Wax
Microfibre Towels to buff/remove residue
Megs Trim Detailer
Sonus/AG Window polish
Megs Tyre Black

The car was first and foremost wash and dried using the above equipment.

This shows the difference a PC can make. The left on the bonnet has been PC'd but not waxed or buffed. The right ...

There was nothing in it... and I mean nothing.. 1st right through to 5th we were side by side. My 2.6 Nissan lump did me proud against a 6.0 V12 Very Happy

He was carrying a passenger and also having to deal with a very awkward paddle-shift set up which has a small delay between each gear change.. but I'm choosing to ignore those facts.

It was a seriously awesome blat... I think I did £20 in fuel and got about 40 miles... the DB was showing an MPG of 8.4 Laughing

Hey guys,

As some of ya know by now, I got screwed over by Spectre Customs who rebuilt my engine to a shoddy standard, and it blew up after 500 miles leaving me no choice but to rebuild it myself. As they wouldn't take responsibility and give me my money back. Cant take them to court, because there is not enough evidence, and no receipts. beepin cowboys! :@

The list of stuff found wrong (so far!!), find new stuff everyday!

- Battery relocated to the boot, sounds ok. But they used my 4-gauge car amp power cable to connect the power from the front to the back. Even worse thing is they didnt even solder it, they just bolted the wire to the original battery terminal connection and taped the beep out of it.
Also the earth for the battery was 1metre long and connected to a bit of sheet metal. Causing my ECU to short out, as the car was only running at 12v instead of 14v!

- D-Series Radiator & wrong radiator hoses

- Loose Gearbox bolt

- Finger tight brake calliper bolt ...

Christ, im suprised you have not had a pop about the amount of crap in my car.

I have jerry cans, a tent, seats, CDs, jump leads, Gazz's kite, a bung, half a tool kit, coat, not forgetting my Sub and amp and I will admit from time to time I have a passenger.

I think it looks nice and I do belive its also used on track too as I have heard from alex and co. Fair play to you
