Thought i'd let you all know how the PM (personal messaging) system works.
All PM's are stored on the server in a database. They are not encrypted, and in theory could be read by anyone with access to the database. At the moment, this is me and the guys I use to manage the server. It could also include a "hacker". For this reason, you should not take privacy for granted, and SJC does not make any guaruntees or accept any liability with regards to security within PM's. For instance, you should not use the PM system to exhange credit card details, or anything else that is sensitive.
You are allowed 1000 PM's in your inbox (this will be reduced to 50 for non-paid members), and when you reach this limit, any new PM's you recieve will replace the oldest message you have in your inbox. This is different to alot of other forums, which tell you the recipients inbox is full (and therefor you cant send them a PM).
If you want to safely store a message, you should send it to your savebox (click "save message"). You are allowed 2000 messages in here (soon to be disabled for non-paid members).
On top of that, the last 100 messages you sent can be seen in your sentbox. You can also save these to your savebox.
Over and Out.
